This year’s team has already played a total of three games with all games being at home on Mayo Field. On the 5th of this month, the Gents played a tough game against Cornell College from Iowa. The team was two points away from a win against Huntingdon on the 13th. Most recently, they played against Hendrix and lost by a whopping fifteen points. As of now, our Gents are on a losing streak, but improvements have been made since last year’s season. In total, thirty-one goals have been made, averaging ten points per game so far.

Cornell College

Its opening season game opposed to Cornell College started off in a rough patch with Cornell in the lead after the first quarter. Two points were scored by Marc Mackey, Braxton Parchman, and G’Colby Spivey. Both Jordan Cook and Blake Federico scored a point, totaling the Gents with ten points.

Huntingdon

The second game of the season at odds with Huntingdon was a close one with a score of 15-14, with the Gents losing once again. The first few minutes, however, the Gents were in the lead with the score at 11-7. Huntingdon rebounded from their previous game and won against Centenary. Compared to last year’s game against them, the Gents lost by way more than a point, so it is evident that the team has grown in their performance.

Hendrix

Their latest game against Hendrix did not play out in their favor. Hendrix kept the lead the entire game and carried on in their advantage. G’Colby Spivey had his fourth unassisted goal of the season from this game; Kyle Comi made his own unassisted goal soon after, and the fourth quarter consisted of sophomore Jordan Cook scoring all of Centenary’s goals–all being unassisted as well.

To support our Gents, consider going to their next few at home games…

-March 16th against Edgewood

-April 10th against Colorado College

-April 13th against Dallas.
