The Tom Brady Drama Explained in 300 Words (By Someone Who Doesn’t Watch Football)
Until the age of 13, I thought Tom Brady was the youngest (now grown) son of the Brady Bunch. Learning that that wasn't the case was a huge disappointment to me. In reality:
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. is a former American quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team (2020 - 2022). However, his notable performances all occurred during his time with the New England Patriots (2000 - 2019). Altogether, Brady appeared in 10 Superbowl games and won 7 of them. He holds numerous others records in football and is often hailed as "The Best American Quarterback" of all time.
Like all the greats, Brady announced his retirement on February 1, 2022, only to have a comeback tour for a one-year contract with Tampa Bay. Many sources (and parody videos) have since claimed that his decisions to retire - not retire - then retire were motivated by both family issues and health.
Brady, age 45, was married for thirteen years to Brazillian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Rumors have it that Brady's decision to sign back on for a year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the proverbial "straw" that broke the camel's back of that marriage. Post-divorce, Bundchen has taken to social media and news outlets to promote her healthy-living lifestyle and resume her modeling career.
While his second retirement from his playing career seems as though it will stick -- Brady hasn't walked away from the field entirely. He's since signed a 10-year $375 million contract to become Fox Sports' lead NFL analyst.
Recently, an old passion of Brady's seems to have resurfaced as he's had a guest appearance in, The Match and assumed a supporting role in the new Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin movie 80 for Brady.
Here's your update on Brady; I hope it helps you decipher those parody videos and memes!
