Hello ladies, gentlemen, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming associates! It is the proud and esteemed honor of the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse Theater Department to at last announce the Spring 2022 Theater Season! We have a lot of amazing things in store, including a couple of events for you all to sign up and participate in. We look forward to seeing you and hope you will enjoy what we have to offer!
Peter and the Starcatcher (March 10th-20th)
Based on the best-selling book series of the same name by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, this Tony award-winning show of how a lonely orphan became the Legendary Peter Pan, adapted to stage by Rick Elise, is now coming to a theater near you! Starring A.R. Rossomando as Peter Pan, Charlie Roppolo as Black Stache, Ophelia Scott as Smee, and many many more. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and rejoice in this incredible retelling of a classic tale!
Coffee House (March 21st)
Do you have a skill you wish to showcase? A story to tell? Jokes that you want to have heard? Come one, come all, bring your best performance! Signups have already begun and are available right at the door as well. Hosted by Alan’s Hot Tub, be ready for a night of snacks, drinks, good company, and amazing performances within the department starring none other than you all!
Glass Menagerie (April 21st-24th)
Told from the memories of the narrator Tom Wingfield, this play follows the story of the Wingfield family, Tom, his mother Amanda, and his sister Laura, as they go through a period of their life following the courting of Laura. Laura, herself has no desire to be courted, instead of focusing on her titular collection of glass figurines. This slice of life tale of drama and surprises is sure to fascinate all who see it!
Coffee House (April 25th)
Returning once more to Centenary, come back once again for a night of performances by none other than Centenary’s Own! Hosted once more by Alan’s Hot Tub, be ready for a night of snacks, drinks, good company, and amazing performances within the department starring none other than you all! It promises to be an amazing time.
These shows are sure to be an amazing capstone to the 2022 year! Our department has put a lot of work into these shows, and so far, everything is looking incredible! As more cast lists are revealed, we will be keeping you all updated, but until then, you are free to sign up for Coffee House in advance! We look forward to seeing you there and at all our other amazing performances!
