Get To Know Remi Miller
During Remi’s Junior year, she served as the Conglomerate’s 2021-2022 Multimedia Editor. While finding writers for articles was hard enough due to a packed publishing schedule and most students already being heavily involved in clubs, Remi had the hard job of creating a whole new vision for the Congo and finding people to see that vision come to life. Remi took to the challenge and helped make this section what it is with a number of impressive videos, podcast episodes, photojournalism pieces, and more.
Remi Miller doesn’t just work with no play, though; in her free time, she enjoys sports like tennis and skiing, photography, music, painting, playing the piano, cooking, thrifting, and listening to music. Remi is really inspired by interior design and celebrity interview videos on Youtube from the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Hot Ones, Architectural Digest, and Emma Chamberlain. While Remi is very busy with her studies in Political Science, most of the time, when she does get a break, she enjoys reading classic literature. “Even though classic lit is considered ‘boring,’ which sometimes it is. I still read it because I feel like I have something to prove to myself,” Remi elaborates. Her current read is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, and her favorite books include Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
Remi wants to continue growing as a photographer and painter and will return to the Conglomerate’s 2022-2023 Editorial Board as the new Editor for News & Worldview. After Centenary, she will pursue a career as an International Humanitarian lawyer. She wants to focus specifically on promoting gender equality, reforming American prisons, and fighting against homelessness. She hopes this will include (or she can also make time for) traveling the world and learning more about others and their culture. In her free time, maybe she can also fulfill her dream of adopting and caring for a horse, after reading countless books about girls and their horses growing up. So get excited for Remi Miller’s remarkably talented skills and leadership to continue on the Conglomerate team, and make sure to check out all the exciting work next year!
