2022-2023's Fabulous Head of Public Relations
If you didn't get the opportunity to meet Alaina Owens before she graduated this May, then you missed meeting one of my favorite people. Alaina is one of the most welcoming, friendly, and funniest people. She has also served as the head of The Conglomerate's Public Relations this past year. Alaina has created beautiful graphics in her role and has managed our social media accounts wonderfully.
Alaina, in addition to working for the newspaper, held many other leadership positions while at Centenary. Just this year, she was the Treasurer for the Iota Gamma chapter of Chi Omega, the Secretary of the Chemistry Club, and the Events and Marketing Chair for Maroon Jackets. She leads in a way that appears effortless but definitely requires only the best time management and diligence. She successfully held all of her positions while still attending meetings for organizations in which she didn't have positions. She also still made time for her friends and family; she loves fiercely and is one of the most avid supporters of the people she cares about.
I've mentioned a little bit about Alaina's personality, but I wanted to discuss it just a little bit more. Alaina's the kind of person to get a smile or laugh out of you even if you're having a bad day or just provide a good listening ear when you need to vent or need advice. She's simply the best and has definitely been a ray of sunshine both on campus and in my own life.
I love you a lot, Alaina! I'm so proud of everything that you have accomplished, and I look forward to seeing you continue to dazzle and impress as time goes on.
